I have to say Shadow Of Mordor is an excellent game, I never played any of the previous Lord Of The Rings games before and while I know this technically isn't one it's in the same universe but after playing this I went back and played a few that's how great this game is. The combat is excellent, it's very engaging and you feel the weight behind every attack. The story was well done and although I myself didn't love it I did like it and I can appreciate that others will love it. My biggest praise for this game is the play time you will get from it and not just because it's full of filler and fetch quests and other things to make the game longer but not for the better I enjoyed every minute.

this game is great! very addicting with a nice storyline, enough hours to spend on! Allot of subqeusts and other stuff you can do, and ofcourse a great campaign.

So, the story of this games comes apart from the books. Taken from the description of the Middle Earth by Tolkien, but set us apart on another path, parallel to events on the book before Lord of the Rings. Great game, great graphics, awesome open world playing, mucha alike with the Assassin's Creed mechanics. Worth the time and money to be spent on this game.

I'd be lying if I said that I would have made no shadow of Mordor fun because it got me entertained for 30 hours . Not on an outstanding level , but on a good , a technically flawless , one whose objective quality one must recognize sober. But there has never been emotionally touched me at this time , never surprises me , never gave me the feeling that I would play just something special , something unique , something remarkable .

In This game you murder/assassinate/slaughter or in some way shape or form kill a tonne of orc.

In some ways this game feels like the Arkham series, although it's far more brutal and satisfying. It suffers a bit from the typical open-world "here's a tonne of stuff to do which is kind of all the same", however it is still entertaining due to the well made combat system. Which is similar to the Arkham series of games in that you have counter symbols that appear above your enemies head.

The nemesis system is extremely fun, in short it gives some orcs far more personality, by giving them special traits and attitudes.

Highly recommended if you're looking for an open-world game with a lot to do and enemies to slaughter in droves.

As my title says, one of my favorite games that I have played. Since I love LoTR and Hobbit movies and books, this was just something extra that I needed. Movements from Prince of Persia which makes this game even better. It might look easy at first, but at some points you do have to use extra skills. Great graphics, great story line, great game play, only one thing missing. Can't play on surround setup of monitors 5760x1080. All in all, an amazing game and would recommend it to everyone.

Started to play for a short time. It is just a nice game with lot of possibilities. It makes a lot of fun and has nice graphics. Even the story is cool. I go on with my playing and just enjoy it......

I bought this game for a while premium version and the truth so far is for me a top game in all aspects gameplay dlcs 10 History 10 10 10 in a whole certainly in my humble opinion. Shadow of Mordor - The game that could have been. Firstly the control is good - im talking about PC here. The mouse keyboard combo works a treat and i'd hazard a guess that a 360 contoller would not go astray. Secondly Story - A great premise that appears to have beens started by someone interested in actually writing a good yarn. But devolves into a slap and dash jumpt to get over the line. Thirdly Gameplay - Fantastic, this saves the game on many levels - even though youa are essentially doing the same thing it never tires. Orcs being manifestly abused on so many levels warmed the cockles of my inner ranger. Combat by any means lets the player deal with vermin any which way you like, of which there are a many. Fourthly - Visually stunning - It all works. Fithly time is short. - The game stops just as your winding up and in a very simple fashion that to belittles the player.

Pros - Great visuals, Great combat, engrossing play.
Cons - Short. Story wanting.

Even if you know nothing about LOTR this game is fun and interesting. Combat is pretty much identicle to the Batman Arkham games, with movement similar(yet better than Assassins Creed or Infamous).
Only complaint I have about this game is the ending was so disatisfying and rushed I felt like my investment in the character and story was pointless. Still, I highly reccommend this game for everything else it has to offer.

If you are looking for and addictive game which does not get repetitive, definitely check this out! Extremely fun combat system very similar to that of the Arkham games will get you lost for hours hunting down captains and trying to take down war chiefs. Graphics are truly amazing and will definitely put your pc to the test. Fun story missions and great side missions only make the experience even better. The great warchief system gets you lost for hours more of extremely fun gameplay. Would definitely recommend this to Arkham fans, or any gamers in genral.

Shadows of Mordor is an astounding use of the Arkham Asylum style of gameplay, and the pedigree of its developers shows. The combat is flowing, the parkour is satisfying, and the enemies are oh-so-infuriating in the best way. Having some guy you murdered keep showing up makes you hate him not because he's an annoyance, but because HE MUST DIE.

The story is well delivered in smaller bits of cutscene, and the voice acting is phenomenal.

All in all, the only real problem with this game is how hard it starts chugging during crowded fights. Make sure you have a good PC because this game is not for CPUs of a gentle disposition!

I cannot believe how good this game is. It is a never-ending LOTR universe game that always surprises me. It is also one of the greatest looking games currently available. The only reason I would suggest you save your money is if you only are playing for the characters, seeing as there are no characters from the movies or books to relate to. It seems to have its own back story and character line.

this starts you straight into the fight, in the first 10 minutes you'll be crying, laughing (well maybe at the feeling of getting some payback) on the edge of your seat.

I loved this game because it just didn't care what you wanted to do. It's almost completely open world in that you can freely wander around and do what you want, and the activities of the orcs and Uruk-hai move along independently from yours, so things happen, and when you visit this or that place you'll be surprised at the changes that occur.

Speaking of which, it's actually fun to watch lower level orcs rise in rank. It makes it even more satisfying when you eventually chop then down to bits in the end.

Story is great, I can't complain. It feels so much like you're in Middle-Earth, and I like the way it kept a lot of the lore intact.

Playing and watching this game being played I can say that it will hold your interest. It is a beautiful game with some graphical errors but for the most part offers beautiful scenery. Lots to do in this game and a unique system but there could be more. It's not the perfect game but for the right price it will hold your attention for hours. The combat is interesting and fast paced. I highly recommend playing this game.

As a Tolkien fan and a massive fan of Lord Of The Rings this game is Amazing Even though it appears to go well before the events of lord of the rings when Mordor is only just being prepared and before the battle of Pelennor fields. For me it was a mix of a hack n slash and stealth game all the while using your abilities at the same time.

The only disappointment for me was the Boss fights and the story line towards the end of the game. Fighting The Tower was stupid when all you had to do was sneak up on him and attack copies of him then to take on the Black Hand was also really dumb because all you get is a cut scene. It made it seem like the only decent Big boss fight was fighting the Black Captain.

As many people say the game is great and has a really amazing feeling with the random generated Uruks and the nemesis, but as with every game it has it's pros and cons. With 65 hours of playing this game with two playthroughs I would say I know the pros and cons.

Pros:

+ The game has an amazing combat inspired by Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City

+ The game is open-world with great graphics and scenery

+ History in the game is great with a story-line I think everyone would love

+ You can get " Epic " runes from Warchiefs and Captains which are really fun to use and tryout

+ You can brand Captains and Warchiefs so they are under your control and you can give them commands or get intel

+ There is RPG element where you level up and get points you can use to gain some new tricks to use against the Uruks

+ It has stealth and some stealth mission in the game

+ Alot of randomized Captains and Warchiefs with different face and equipment and if you kill one or burn him and he feels away he might come back with a burned face or a scar

+ Wildlife with Caragors and Graugs that you can mount and ride

Cons:
- The combat gets very repetitive and you will just do the same over and over because it's the easiest way to kill and captain and warchief

- The open-world is split into two areas, one is greener more colorful and the other is more dark and abandoned

- The Captains and Warchiefs are easily killed after you get some points and aren't a big threat anymore

- You get " op " too fast in the game and it makes it really easy and not as challenging as it was

- The Nemesis system doesn't interact enough with the player and you quickly forget an Uruk

- DLC is limiting some really cool feature like Captains and Warcheifs that can ride on mounts and make them more difficult to kill

- There isn't much endgame, once you beaten it you can go for 100% and farm epic runes by killing Captains and Warcheifs

Conclusion: The game is really great and is considered by most people a masterpiece of games, but by being so big most people don't realize that the game has some big flaws. I would say if you are looking for a great time with a combat and stealth that game will last around 26-30 hours then go for this game, I'm not saying it's bad and you shouldn't buy it I'm saying you shouldn't expect this game to be one you play for over a week.

Im a big fan of both the Batman games and the Assassins creed games. If you like those games, this is a must buy game for you. Its a great mix between stealth and combo combat gameplay. The main story behind the game, is very simplyfied and you get into it.

Its good to see that studios like this still feel the need to take a risk and innovate.. What we all figured would be some sort of gimmick is actually an incredible system that works behind the scenes even when you think it isn't.. Follow the in game story yes, but make your own story using the nemesis system and your suddenly in a whole new world!! Graphics are what you expect nowadays from a AAA title along with the sound.. The gameplay has the best elements with almost assassins creed style assassination manoeuvres.

A mix between Batman and Assassins Creed make this a game that can't be missed. While the areas aren't as big as one would expect they make things easy to get to, are filled with enemies to encounter and people to save and the combat simply makes you want more. Tones of moves to unlock plus who doesn't love seeing more of Gollum?

Loved every minute of this game, it has tons of content and it's super fun to play. It's like a mix of Batman Arkham Asylum and Assassins Creed. I have already dumped about 30 hours in to this game trying to complete the game. This is a must get for action/adventure lovers. It may also fit in to most RPG fans libraries too!

Normally I am weary of these action/adventure type games as I stop playing them a few hours in. Not this one though, im hooked and can't recommend it enough.

A mix of batman Arkham series combat, assassins creed open world, and a unique enemy system. All of them work perfectly together in a fun and fantastic way. Enemy system is interesting and fun. Played it at a mates and came home to get it straight away!

Very fluent combat system, with a nice story keeping you intrigue till the end, I would definitely recommmend taking your time with the story as it can be finished fairly quickly.
The nemisis system is another superb feature which the game bring to life.
However, It was a shame the game has no difficulty setting. It all seemed to easy!!

The combat is excellent, very fluid and just look so brutal and satisfying when you cap of a head.

This game is very fun. It plays like Arkham City + Assassin's Creed with a tiny bit of Mercenaries 2. Unlike these games, the enemies, especially Captains and Warchiefs, are genuinely threatening and they CAN and WILL kill you. These commanders are made even more interesting by the "Nemesis" system which gives them real personalities and makes the Ork army feel more real and dynamic: leadership shifts around, alliances between commanders are built and destroyed, and throughout it all a running fear of the "Gravewalker".

I definitely recommend this game.
