    A Nightmare Turns to Life
Alan Wake is a bestselling horror novelist who moved to the small town of Bright Falls, Washington after suffering from insomnia and depression. Wake is able to sleep again, but after he meets a mysterious woman, he begins to have terrible nightmares. As he puts these nightmares on paper for a new book, he soon notices that all the things that happen in his book are coming true right before his eyes.

Using cinematic effects and technology such as real-time lighting, shadows and reflections, you'll be treated to a game that is oozing with atmosphere and able to invoke an emotional response from the player. The realistic environment features real-time weather and light changes that effect the game play for a remarkably immersive experience.

    Explore an Entire Town
The town of Bright Falls is 100 square kilometers, and players will be able to roam through this incredibly detailed area any way they like, roaming the town or wandering out to the lakes, forest, satellite towns, and more. The game gives the player goals, but how he chooses to go about completing them is up to him. Clues are scattered throughout the town, and solving mysteries will require players to pay close attention to the little details.

    Intense Combat
In addition to solving puzzles and exploration, the game also pushes players into serious action and combat; when night comes, creatures will take their best shots at Alan, and you'll have to be quick with strategy as well as weapons to beat them back.

Alan Wake presents an unusual and new gaming experience that features a riveting, multi-layered story while giving the player the ability to freely roam a giant environment. It supports Dolby Digital sound.

    great game
Alan Wake is a story driven psychological thriller, which is definitely a must play for the lovers of this genre. It's been removed from Steam due to expiration of music license, but you still can pick it up elsewhere.

A famous writer Alan Wake travels to Cauldron Lake with his wife Alice, seeking for peace in hopes that it helps him and his struggles with the writer's block, but something goes very wrong. Can you unravel the mystery and fight the darkness in an attempt to save your wife?

This game is episodic, very well narrated and has very heavy Stephen King vibes to it, which makes it extremely enjoyable. If you're seeking for action, then this might not be the game for you, as there's much more story than action going on. Combat exists, but can be a tad bit annoying at times due to strange camera angles (this game is a console port). Overall it's a very nice game, with an interesting story and great atmosphere.

Remedy know how to make a game
Alan wake is a game that starts all simple and derails pretty early on into pure insanity. Remedy described it as a psychological thriller and boy did they deliver i wasn't expecting to get jumpy playing this game and yet it happened.... alot . The game looks great and plays well too, the characters are fleshed out and they also reveal a lot of backstory was built when making the game with the amount of novel references made from alans previous books. I deeply have enjoyed playing this game and recommend it to people its weird, creepy and yet its such an enjoyable world created. 10/10

    Darkness brings fear
Sounds boring, well it isn't at the beginning it starts with an simple plot, which is really fast turning into a chaos of darkness and fear. I really haven't expectd to get scared so many times, but I did. The game-mechanics are really easy to handle and they bring big action too. It really is an exciting and dark game which I can totally recommend.
