    Reaches high Falls short.
    Firstly let me say that I am a HUGE Civilization 5 fan, I have commited hundred or perhaps thousands of hours in my quest for global domination. Therfore I write this review with a somewhat heavy heart. I had high aspirations for CBE but playing I felt a little cheated - much like the sequel to a great movie not being better but still flavoursome. Dont get me wrong its a GOOD game but i was expecting CIV 5 with more freedom and diversity in tech, units victory. The tech falls into catergories which you must follow or be left weakened - A jack of all trades master on none will have to sing for his supper on Alpha Centauri - tech is OK but its all very samey. Progression is not all that special either. I was hoping here for a little personal influence in units/tech but no. Victory is also very cruicial - no more centurties/turns of warfare and a struggle to win the arms race - its choose victory condition or bust. If you fail to complete the faction quests - you WILL lose. So really the choice for the player has been takenb away for vdiffering victory end, because if you dont the computer will - fast.
    Overall a fun game but leaves alot to be desired, perhaps DLC will help make it great. - Not an essential purchase but will engross the player until such time you lose.

    when Civilization meet Alpha Centauri.
    when Civilization meet Alpha Centauri.

    As Civilization and Alpha Centaury veteran I have big expectations to BE and most of it has been fulfilled in BE.

    Only story can be better it is placed too much into future (600 years) , 75-100 years from Today will fit game much better also game will feel much realistic if sponsors will be replaced with countries from Today.

    Game have very high replay value + there is too many good mods for it some of it can give to BE almost new gameplay feeling. I recommend it to everyone who like 4x strategy games it is AAA game

    Sid Meir's is must to support!
    This game is beyond marevlous if you like startegy games that have a lot mechanics and have a great building sytem this is a must buy for you. The game presents marvelous interaction with other factions if i must say and they also beautiful graphics as well. THIS IS A MUST BUY!!

    Adventure
    This game is really fun to play but its still got that Civilization feel to it.
    So if your a fan of Sid meier's Civization then this game is a must have for you.

    I played it for 4 hours now and must say that it look good and play's really smooth.
    The new things in it are good like the new bonus screen.
    You have more things to choose from when you unlock things.

    Great turn based strategy
    This game is great for those who love turn based type games. If you're more of a non stop type player then I don't recommend this game for you, it takes a lot of patience and time to progress, although this does allow for maximum game time.
